Moving Meditations for Lent | Day 16: Strength in Weakness

While focus is on their crying, often seen as a sign of weakness, very little is focused on their strength. They were subject to punishment as much as anyone else who declared their devotion to the teachings of Jesus. And yet they stayed.

We revisit this pose- stand with your legs more than hip-width apart. Bend your knees outward into a very deep bend. This pose represents the strength of women, so let us channel the women of Jerusalem, who remained steadfast in their faith and loyalty in Jesus. May we find the power and strength to do the same.
