“I am vulnerable” Jesus falls for the second time, showing us that as humans, sometimes we will fall more than once. We are vulnerable, and a lot can happen in that place of vulnerability. We can fall, remain low, and influenced by all the people things around us. Or we can rise up, humble ourselves, and leave our lives in God’s hands.

Take this gesture to the ground if you can. Kneel and fold the upper half of your body all the way forward. Tuck your chin in and place your forehead to the ground. Many people, from all different religious traditions, pray like this. Perhaps take time to pray like this, in a place of vulnerability but also protection under God. A surrender to the will of God but an openness to comfort amidst pain.
