Moving Meditations for New Beginnings | Day 2: The Five Positions of Focus – Receive

Starting off these Moving Meditations for New Beginnings the way every The Moving Prayer class and rehearsal starts – with the Five Positions of Focus! The Five Positions of Focus is inspired by the first Five Positions in ballet. They set the foundation for becoming a Moving Prayer by allowing us to focus on our relationship with God, the universe around us, and ourselves. Our second position is focused on receiving. After taking deep breaths to connect with God and the world around us, we slowly open up ourselves to love and trust. And with that our first gesture- we hold our hands in front of us as if we are receiving a gift. Our relationship deepens as we receive gifts directly from the Source of all being. What these gifts are as infinite as from who or what or where they came from and is uniquely you. Receive it with humility. With this gift you will become a Moving Prayer. Movement or new beginnings making you nervous? Just let it go. Because as you hold your hands to receive a gift from God, you are also releasing and surrendering what’s holding you back from getting closer to God. Exchange what is holding you back for what can move you.
