“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43 . Even in the midst of dying, Jesus was able to see the good of His neighbor and promised Him eternal life. Sometimes we find ourselves so enrapt in our own pain and suffering that we don’t notice any of those around us. But what if we take just moment. What if we pause a moment from our own sadness and looked out into the world. What if we took time to see and help our neighbor? Maybe the pain will disappear, even for a moment. And while this is a temporary fix, doing good even when things are going bad, will change you.
. . .
Take your arm outwards towards the side, reaching out and calling out to your neighbor. Then gather your arms into your heart and open them wide, promising and sharing from the heart. Remember, that when we share God’s love with others, we also receive God’s love. Even amongst pain and suffering, God reaches out to us with Love.
